Blyde River Canyon
One of the greatest natural wonders of Southern Africa is this 20km long canyon where wooded cliffs rise some 700-m above the turbulent Blyde river. Far below is the Blydepoort Dam where the Ohrigstad and Blyde Rivers form this large expanse of water.
This region is in close proximity to many places of interest and has many amenities and facilities for memorable holidays in spectacular natural environments. Popular for its Nature Trails and Hiking Trails, the Canyon area has a rich and varied plantlife, ranging from grasslands to rain forests and dry ravines. Fauna is mainly antelope, with hippopotamus and crocodile in some lower parts of the river.
God's Window

Aptly named when you look at the fantastic views!

God's Window is on the edge of the Drakensberg Escarpment and is a must for your holiday itinerary. When the aloes are in bloom at God’s Window the visitor is treated to the added delight of floral beauty.

Bourkes luck (the pot holes)
Bourkes Luck Potholes were named after Tom Bourke who was an early owner of the farmlands where the Blyde and Treur rivers meet; Because of his good fortune and luck in finding gold at the bottom of these gouged potholes, the area was named after him through his endeavours in attaining wealth from a most unusual source.
Sudwala caves(including the dinosaur park)
The Sudwala Caves are gouged deep into the Mankelekele mountains. Visitors may explore 600 metres into the complex, which is thought to extend some 30 km into the mountainside. Nearby is the Dinosour Park with its lifesize models of prehistoric reptiles.
